What the heck is this?

by Bob Sassone, posted Jun 24th 2009 9:10AM

We have a new feature here at TV Squad, where we show you a picture of something and you have to guess what the heck it is.

This one is from a TV show that debuted many, many years ago. I actually had a model of this when I was a kid, and I wish I still had it. Answer later this afternoon!

Answer: yup, it's the Flying Sub from Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. I was going to post a picture of the outside of the ship, flying, but that would have made it too easy!

If it is not Voyage TO..... Then it is a pod from either
star trek or STNG

Clearly that's Bob Sassone's evil Lair complete with a never ending stream of Studio 60 episodes and a dedicated Macbook just for writing about how bad Windows commercials are.

That was my first guess.

Even if it does turn out to be VTTBOTS, there's no mistaking that it's from an Irwin Allen production.
