Spoilers Anonymous

by Isabelle Carreau, posted Jun 27th 2009 9:03AM

This is Spoilers Anonymous, a weekly column here at TV Squad where we supply you with the dirt on some of the more popular shows on the air. We'll never put spoilers up here on the main page in order to help the reformed stay unspoiled. If you have anything to add to the group, feel free to step up and let yourself be heard, either with our tips form or by emailing us at tvsquad at gmail dot com, or call and leave a message at (775) 640-8479. Your anonymity is guaranteed, if you wish to remain as such.

Note that over the summer, Spoilers Anonymous will be published every two weeks due to production hiatus for most TV series. Weekly columns will resume in August.

This week we have spoilers for: 90210, Desperate Housewives, Gossip Girl, Greek, Grey's Anatomy, House, NCIS: Los Angeles, One Tree Hill, Scrubs, Smallville, The Office and Ugly Betty. (SPOILERS FOLLOW!)

90210
  • The Beverly Hills Beach Club will be revived when the series return in order to offer the teens a hot summer hangout. Those of you who thought Annie hit Ethan in the season finale, thus giving a reason why Ethan would not return next season, need to revise their theory as we will learn in the season premiere that Ethan decided to stay in Montana with his father. Desperate Housewives
  • In the season finale, Lynette learned that she was once again pregnant. In case you were wondering, the doctor made no mistake meaning Lynette will be pregnant when the series return. Creator Marc Cherry says that abortion is not an option for the Scavos but that Lynette could have a miscarriage. It's also possible that Lynette has a full pregnancy so to give the Scavos "an entire softball team" as Felicity Huffman jokes. [Source: TV Guide Magazine]
  • Sneaky DH Powers That Be decided to not have Teri Hatcher nor Dana Delany be under the veil next to Mike at the alter in the season finale. That way, the secret as to whom he marry would remain a secret for a little bit longer. Then again, sources who read the script say that following the scene car accident where Susan and Mike embraced, we can read "The family is reunited." Do you think it means Susan was at the altar or maybe it's just a red herring? On another note, Karl will be back next season and will, as expected, come between Bree and Orson. Gossip Girl
  • In the season premiere, Blair will catch Chuck "connecting" with a model. However, all is not as it appears. Lily will not appear in the first batch of episodes because Kelly Rutherford will still be on maternity leave when the show resumes shooting. Nate will get a new love interest to be played by Privileged's Joanna Garcia. Her character, named Bree Buckley, is said to be an irreverent and slightly evil young woman who comes from a conservative Southern family. Garcia's character will be introduced in the season premiere. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • Even if the premiere may put Chuck and Blair together, they will not be breaking up any time soon. [Source: Watch With Kristin]
Greek
  • The August 31 season premiere will be up right where the season finale ended so Cappie will still be contemplating his decision. Bad Rebecca will be back due to a boy who is off limits (and it's not Evan). Calvin will have boyfriend problems. [Source: Korbi TV]
Grey's Anatomy
House
  • The season premiere will begin shortly after the mental institution doors close behind House. In two hours, the show will cover two to three months and House's journey of rehabilitation. Even if House will be better at the end of his stay, don't expect him to be perfect as House won't be perfect in any way. The two-hour premiere will mostly take place in the institution but the rest of the season will not. Gideon's Crossing's Andre Braugher will play Dr. Nolan, the unlucky doctor who has to diagnose House. As expected the two doctors will not see eye-to-eye as what House needs to get back in shape. While House is in the mental institute, Foreman will be stepping up and taking charge. The stress of Foreman taking lead may affect his relationship with Thirteen. With House gone, expect everyone on the team to be second-guessing themselves when treating a patient. [Source: Watch With Kristin]
NCIS: Los Angeles
  • A few weeks ago, the upcoming series announced that Louise Lombard, who played Macy in the two NCIS episodes to introduce the potential spin-off, would not be part of the series since the public didn't respond well to her character. This week, we learn that actress Linda Hunt joins the series in a new role that is not set to replace the character of Macy. Instead, Hunt will play "an efficient and hard-nosed former film industry technician who now oversees the backroom support staff," describes Michael Ausiello. The backroom staff consists of those workers who provide the NCIS team with all the cool gadgets, cameras and cars. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
One Tree Hill
  • Shantel VanSanten has been cast in the regular role of free-spirited Quinn, Haley's older sister. Quinn will arrive to Tree Hill in search of new experiences after having her heart broken. Rachel will be back next season for an arc. [Source: Watch With Kristin and The Ausiello Files]
Scrubs
  • Series creator Bill Lawrence confirmed that he'll stay true to the flash-forward epilogue, meaning that J.D. and Elliott will be together. However, don't expect episodes explaining in details their love life and how they got to the point seen in the flash-forward. Next season, they'll use Zach Braff's appearances to help the show transition into the new format. Go read our "Scrubs goes back to school" post to know more about said new format. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
Smallville
  • As reported a few days ago, Brian Austin Green is going from fighting cyborgs in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to playing one in at least the first two episodes of Smallville. Green will play Metallo a bad guy with artificial skin and a kryptonite-powered body whose alter ego is "Daily Planet" journalist John Corben. [Source: Korbi TV]
  • Sam Witwer was invited back for several episodes next season but, at this time, the actor has no plans to return as Davis Bloom/Doomsday. [Source: TV Guide Online]
The Office
Ugly Betty
  • Matt is returning next season and will be a series regular. That doesn't mean Matt and Betty will be a couple... especially when the show is planning to introduce a new love interest for Bett. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
