This is the house where Big Brother contestants will argue and fornicate

Big Brother

A question for you Big Brother fans: is the reveal of the house a really big deal? I remember watching The Real World many years ago and it was always fun to see what the house looked like. But those were real (if changed) homes in various cities around the world. This isn't that exciting, but I wouldn't mind living here, I guess. Here are a few pics of the new house, and the rest of the pics are here. The show starts July 9.

Above: a couch! (Oooooooooooooooo!)

This is the bathroom, where the contestants will watch each other take showers.

This photo refers to ... well, I actually don't want to know what it could refer to.

Of course, every house needs a slide. Only this one looks like it leads directly to a hard tiled floor.

the 'bb' house is so secondary to the contestants. and is it me or are those walls made out of some kind of corkwood? lol as if that's nothing more than a set. reused and redecorated every year for 'bb.'

Glad I don't watch the show for design inspiration, that is one UGLY house!

Okay, I think we can safely assume this season is "Going Green". There's pics of one of the walls covered in recyclables.

Once upon a time I would find myself watching Big Brother. Now, not so much. I think it has to do with the fact that I can't relate to having a Japanese game show seemingly break out in the back yard. There's only so much gaming to see who gets to be randomly penalized I care to watch.

To that end, having a different themed house each year DOES tend to differentiate each season from the next, but that seems to be it -- it's just a face lift on pretty much the same thing we've seen before.

I'm more interested in meeting the cast, not seeing the "house." Unless you're providing clues to this season's theme, who cares about the house?
