by Isabelle Carreau, posted Jul 11th 2009 10:05AM

This is Spoilers Anonymous, a weekly column here at TV Squad where we supply you with the dirt on some of the more popular shows on the air. We'll never put spoilers up here on the main page in order to help the reformed stay unspoiled. If you have anything to add to the group, feel free to step up and let yourself be heard, either with our tips form or by emailing us at tvsquad at gmail dot com, or call and leave a message at (775) 640-8479. Your anonymity is guaranteed, if you wish to remain as such.

Note that over the summer, Spoilers Anonymous will be published every two weeks due to production hiatus for most TV series. Weekly columns will resume in August.

This week we have spoilers for: Big Love, Brothers & Sisters, CSI: Miami, Desperate Housewives, Fringe, Glee, Gossip Girl, Heroes, Law & Order: SVU, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, One Tree Hill, and The Mentalist. (SPOILERS FOLLOW!)

Big Love
  • Casting is currently underway for the roles of Christie and Dale. Christie, described as a real hellion, is Barb's pre-teen niece and Cindy's daughter. As for Dale, he is a closeted gay Mormon who is a partner in a big accounting firm. He will become the new Trustee of the Juniper Creek Assets and possibly a love interest for Albie. Brothers & Sisters
  • There will be a three-month time jump between last season's finale and next season's premiere. However, little will have changed as Kitty and Robert still have relationship troubles, Sarah is still playing the field, Nora will be planning yet another weekly party, while another Walker wants a baby. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
CSI: Miami
  • In the season premiere, a comatosed Delko, who was wounded in the season finale, will flash back to his first murder case; thus allowing the show to give fans an origin episode set in 1997. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • Khandi Alexander will return for this special "prequel" episode. Kim Delaney will not be in the episode but there may be a mention that Megan is on a task force in Tallahassee. The jury is still out on if Rory Cochrane will appear or not in the premiere. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
Desperate Housewives
  • The Sopranos' Drea de Matteo will play Angie Vitale, an Italian from New York who moves in with her husband and son. Andrea Bowen, who plays Julie, will return as a series regular this season. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • 24's Jeffrey Nordling and Heartland's Beau Mirchoff have both been cast as Nick and Dominic Vitale respectively. Nick is a handsome New York-Italian man who is a landscape designer while, Dominic is his intense 19-year-old son. [Source: Spoiler TV and TV Guide Magazine]
  • The season premiere will feature a Susan Mayer wedding or at least the preparations for one. It's not clear if it's in the present day, future, or past. [Source: Korbi TV]
  • Kirk Acevedo, who played Charlie in the first season and who's been "fired" from the series, will return for the season premiere. What happens to him is said to be mind blowing. Could it be tied to the fact that the season premiere's opening sequence is described as being "killer" both literally and figuratively? [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • Here are a bunch of spoilers from the first and second episodes when the series officially premieres (episodes 2 and 3 if you count the pilot as episode 1). A couple of the main characters make out. Mr. Schuester is ordered to recruit more Glee Club members if he wants the club to stay open. To do some advertising, he wants the Glee Club to perform "Le Freak" at a school assembly. However, Finn and Rachel secretly change plans so that they don't perform such a "gay" song. Mr. Schuester and Emma share a few intimate scenes. Kurt tries out for the football team while Finn's girlfriend tells him troubling news. [Source: Korbi TV]
  • Someone comes out in the second new episode when the series returns. And it's exactly who you think it will be. MADtv's Michael Hitchcock will be appearing alongside Eve as the director of a rival choir. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
Gossip Girl
  • It looks like Vanessa will finally have meaty storylines on the show! Not only will she have a romance with someone she met briefly at the end of last season -- could it be with Scott? -- but she will also be roommates at NYU with a movie star named Olivia Burke who enrolls at NYU. Burke will be played by Hilary Duff. Privileged's Joanna Garcia will join the series for four episodes as a new love interest for Nate. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
  • Dan will hook up with Hilary Duff's character. [Source: Watch with Kristin]
  • New character Lydia, to be played by model/actress Dawn Oliveri, is described as the beautiful, charming, soul of the Sullivan Brothers Carnival. The carnival will be quite important next season, especially because it employs people with special abilities, aka heroes. Lydia has been with the carnival for a few years now as an exotic tattoo lady who has powerful empath powers. More precisely, she has the power to "sense" the images on her body and can provide valuable information about them. The carnival owner uses Lydia's ability to locate other heroes around the world so he can add them to his lineup. [Source: IGN]
  • One of the heroes will interact with a sensitive male cellist who plays in Central Park. When said hero plays the cellist's instrument, it is said to be "magical". [Source: Spoiler TV]
  • Swoosie Kurtz will return in the third episode of the season as Angela's old society friend, Millie. Her stint will introduce Millie's daughter, as well as reveal a long-buried Petrelli family secret. Adrian Pasdar revealed in an interview that an incident occurred when Nathan was a boy that he has no memory of. [Source: TV Guide Magazine]
  • Speaking of the incident that occurred when Nathan was a boy, Adrian Pasdar gave more info about it, and it turns out that "Sylar/Nathan" will absorb a memory from an article of clothing that will send him back in time to when Nathan was 11 years old. Claire and her new college roommate Annie, played by Rachel Melvin, will sort of have a relationship ... well, they will at least do some experimentation. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
Law & Order: SVU
  • Fans can breathe again, show stars Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay signed new contracts to appear in the next two seasons of the series. This doesn't mean the series will go on for two more seasons, but it at least confirms that if NBC renews the show at the end of next season, both actors will return. Prison Break's Wentworth Miller will appear in the season premiere, titled "Unstable," as a NYPD officer named Nate Kendal who saves a rape victim, while Will & Grace's Eric McCormack will guest star in the second episode as a handsome sugar daddy. Also guesting on SVU next season is Christine Lahti. She will appear in the first four episodes as a new ADA. Once her stint his done, Stephanie March will return as ADA Alexandra Cabot in episode five for a 10-episode arc. [Source: The Ausiello Files, Korbi TV and Watch with Kristin]
  • The show is currently casting for the new recurring character of a male agent in his 30s. [Source: The Ausiello Files]
NCIS: Los Angeles
  • Special Agent Sam Hannah, played by LL Cool J, speaks Arabic and is fluent in a few other languages. New hard-nosed character to be played by Linda Hunt will get in Sam's face. NCIS director Leon Vance will appear in at least six of the first thirteen episodes of the series while still keeping his duties on the original NCIS series. [Source: TV Guide Online]
One Tree Hill
  • Brooke's high school nemesis Rachel Gatina, played by Danneel Harris, will return to Tree Hill. Harris is set to appear in at least seven episodes and will return in the second episode. Jana Kramer, who appeared in six episodes of 90210, has landed the role of Alexis, a model who becomes the new face of Brooke's clothing line. Expect Alexis to be quite the handful as the character is described as an adrenaline junkie and a party girl. [Source: The Ausiello Files and Korbi TV]
  • The show is leaping up a year. Brooke and Julian are set to last as a couple. [Source: Watch with Kristin]
The Mentalist
  • About a month ago, I spoiled you about the addition of a new agent who would take care of the division focusing on the Red John case and who was also one of Lisbon's exes. Turns out that this character, named Sam Bosco, will be played by Oz's Terry Kinney. Sam and Lisbon share a deep and dark secret. [Source: The Ausiello Files]

Terry Kinney is playing Lisbon's ex? He's almost 20 years older than Robin Tunney. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm just sayin'.

I agree with you. I'm not sure it's good casting. Then again, maybe it'll work out since his character was supposed to also have been her mentor before becoming her lover. I'm sure though he'll give Patrick Jane a run for his money!
