CBS is likely killing off 'Harper's Island.' Insiders claim the show, which averaged a mere 4.8 million viewers during its run, will not be returning for a second season, although CBS has yet to comment. 'Harper's Island' was originally planned as a limited run series with the potential to reinvent itself. [EW.com]
Neil Patrick Harris will officially host the 61st annual Primetime Emmys, airing Sept. 20 on CBS. The news was confirmed yesterday after weeks of speculation, with executive producer Don Mischner saying "Neil is charming, funny, quick on his feet and very likeable." But we knew that already.
