Jennifer Garner signs a production deal with ABC Studios, Kathy Griffin will host the Schmemmys, 'True Blood' continues to dominate the ratings and more of today's top TV headlines.Jennifer Garner'Alias' star Jennifer Garner has signed a new deal with ABC Studios. Under the deal, Garner's production company, Vandalia Films, will work with the network to generate new, female-driven content similar to 'Grey's Anatomy.' Vandalia Films also hopes to bring movie writers to the small screen, in addition to scribes featured on 'Alias' and 'Felicity.' [Variety]

Kathy GriffinKathy Griffin will host this year's Primetime Creative Arts Emmys (or "Schmemmys," as she calls them), happening Sat., Sept. 12 in Los Angeles. E! will then air the ceremony one week later on Sat., Sept. 19. We're guessing Jesus had nothing to do with this. [Variety]

True BloodSunday night's 'True Blood' netted an impressive 3.9 million viewers, the show's highest audience to date. Meanwhile, 'Hung' was up 29 percent for its second episode (3.6 million), while the season 6 premiere of 'Entourage' boasted its best numbers in two years with 3.4 million. [Variety]

Terry CrewsTBS has ordered a TV series version of Ice Cube's hit movie 'Are We There Yet?' Premiering in June 2010, the show has been picked up for 10 episodes, and is set to star 'Everybody Hates Chris' alum Terry Crews. Now kids everywhere will be able to ask "Is it on yet?" [Hollywood Reporter]
