Could American Idol really be ready to go Abdul-less?

Paula AbdulConspiracy theorists get ready to start spinning your tales. "American Idol only hired Kara DioGuardi last year so they could be sure she would be ready to replace Paula Abdul this year." "American Idol had no intention of renewing Paula Abdul's contract."

Nothing is official as of yet, but Paula's manager is saying that it doesn't appear she'll be back on the juggernaut show this January. A contract needs to be signed right away, considering that she'll be needed for audition rounds pretty soon. Even worse, it looks like FOX hasn't even approached Abdul with a new contract proposal. Maybe they ran out of money after shelling $45 mil to Ryan Seacrest.

This could all be a negotiating tactic by Abdul's new agent; he's only been on the job a few weeks. Leak this kind of story to the press and see what kind of public outcry this is. Of course, in order for it to work, there needs to be an outcry of support for Abdul; so block parties celebrating her dismissal won't exactly help. What do you think of an Abdul-less American Idol?

Paula has a great deal of class, intregity, intelligence and she is a muti-talented performer who happens to suffer from a sleep disorder known as Insominia which often gives the appearance of being "under the influence" when she is actually very sleep deprived. She still succinctly makes a kind, caring and nourishing judge who makes acidic Simon nearly bearable. Randy, however, will always be boring with droll repeated remarks, She has been with Idol and cared about the competetors as well as the show. Huge mistake AI to offer this LADY less than her male counterparts. Once again a decision to set women back to the dark ages. I hope she sues! No Paula. No watching Idol.

I will not watch if Paula is gone. She has chosen so many winners after hearing them the first time. Kara should go.
She is really dragging the show down. She is hateful and shameful. I do believe they should keep Simon and Paula and add one more new judge....like Smokey Robinson,
Michael Bolton, Michael Card, Sandy Patty, etc. etc.
Time for Randy and Kara to say bye bye. The tension between Simon and Paula is one reason why I had been a fan for all these years. Again, if Paula goes, myself and about two dozen friends will not be watching. Also, they should get rid of Ryan Gay Seacrest. He is ugly, stupid and mean. Anyone would be better than him. What a jerk. The show is fixed anyway. I got that from an inside source. Well, to each their own opinion, you just read mine.

Without Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell's remarks would seem nasty, disrespectful and mean-spirited. It's Paula who makes Simon's antics "acceptable." American Idol producers are making a really big mistake --- and it will c
"cost" them in market share.

Simon reminds us that the music business is tough, and talent is a prerequisite. But it's Paula who reminds us that it need not be so ruthless as to preclude encouragement and sensitivity. She brings common courtesies to the judges table!!!

American Idol has been "humanized" by Paula Abdul. She brings a nice balance between Simon's sometimes sarchastic and rude pronouncements regarding Idol performances. Yes, everyone loves to hate Simon. But without Paula's kindnesses, Simon will fall flat. Sure, we all know that the music business is very tough. But Simon would appear abusive without Paula to temper his statements. The producers of American Idol should "Wake-Up!" and evaluate the chemistry of their show. Without Paula, Simon is just another example of someone abusing their position of power --- and there is nothing really funny about that!!!

Paula-We want you to stay. You are the humanizer on the show. Kara has a strange sense of humor. When she argues with Simon for example, she is too serious. You and Simon are a great duo. Fight you may, but it is never like a hateful or mean fight. I think a lot of viewers will be gone. Please get rid of Kara. I need humor and fun. Come on!!

The producers eliminating Paula from the show just gives them a way to kill off the program. why else would they not want her back? Randy is boring, Kara is a bad joke,
& Simon is nothing without Paula. the show dies here.
