Alec Baldwin shows Jimmy Fallon exactly why he's nominated for an Emmy

Despite the fact that before 30 Rock Alec Baldwin had primarily been known for his dramatic work, he has long been beloved in the comedy world. He's one of the most frequent hosts of Saturday Night Live, and has become somewhat of an unofficial cast member over the years. He's proven that he has no shame when it comes to comedy, which goes pretty far to explain why he went on SNL alum Jimmy Fallon's show last night in an all-white getup accented by a gold lame scarf, gold boots, and even a gold fanny pack.
Baldwin has recently been nominated for his third consecutive Emmy for his role as Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock (he won last year). While some award nominees have their agents or studios take out "For Your Consideration" ads in trade publications, Alec Baldwin one-ups them all. I like to think of his appearance on Late Night as one giant "For Your Consideration" ad, in which he does an impression of Tracy Morgan doing a tennis movie with Robert DeNiro (played by Fallon) called, Ballboy.
Get ready to bask in the glow of Alec/Tracy...
Isn't it creepy how much Baldwin actually sounds like Tracy Morgan? When Morgan was on Fallon's show, Jimmy said that he always thought that the Tracy Jordan character on 30 Rock is very much like Tracy Morgan the person-- except not nearly as insane. But the true genius of Alec Baldwin is that in under a minute, he probably convinced all of Hollywood that they need to get Ballboy in development right now. Can Tony Shalhoub do that? I don't think so.
Ballboy. If that kind of comedic power doesn't deserve an Emmy, I don't know what does.
