AMC turns all Prisoner fans into numbers - Comic-Con Report

In every episode of The Prisoner, the heroic Number SIx would shout, "I am not a number. I am a free man!" Thanks to AMC's booth promoting the new updated Prisoner, everyone at Comic-Con can be a number.Convention visitors can visit AMC's costumed staffers to obtain their own fictional identity and join the world of The Prisoner.
Fans become official residents of The Village (the show's mysterious city) and receive a photo ID badge identifying them by number only.
It's only one way AMC will hype The Prisoner at the convention. They'll also distribute a mini-comic book created by Marvel based on the mini-series first hour. A full panel to promote the show is set for Friday at 11:30 AM.
As I passed the AMC set-up, the lines of people willing to give up their identity wasn't too long. But, as a reporter, I need to rise above such obvious marketing tactics.
I'm Number 77. Be seeing you.
