FOX's More To Love looks like every other dating show, only bigger

by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 28th 2009 2:06PM
Last night we had the season finale of The Bachelorette, and tonight we have the debut of what a lot of people are dubbing The Fatchelor. It's FOX's More To Love. Here's a preview.

It might try to tell you it's more "real" because the women aren't skinny supermodels, but it's just as dumb and shallow. The more shows there are like this the more I think the world is coming to an end. Is this guy courting these women or trying to convince them to buy some product he's selling? I keep waiting for the Powerpoint presentation.

In my house we are calling it "the Fatchelor" and laughed the entire way through it!

this guy is looking for big women who are confident in themselves and 90% of these women were crying within minutes about thier lives.....

Why, oh why, did I feel compelled to watch this? I fear I have done severe psychological damage to myself. The women all sounded so self assured, confident, etc. Then when it came down to eliminations, they were all self loathing. No one will ever want me again! This is my last chance, really at 21? If this is how they really feel, hopefully they will change their lifestyle and really feel good about themselves. What's with the age range? It looked like 21 to 37. He sounds like one of those losers from M4W on Craigslist.

It would be nice if they included a show featuring a women who happened to be plus size without the self-love mantra. Plus, all of those women are gorgeous and could probably pull a guy on the street easily over my 5'11 frame -

Ugh, I hate the commercials pimp it as showing "normal" women and how the average size is 12/14 or whatever it is now, yet the people on the show are mostly size 20 or 22 or BIGGER. You've gone from "average" (which is probably a bit overweight anyway) to "unhealthly". Please do not act as if size 20+ is normal. It's not. If they wanted to show "normal" women, they needed to stick in the 10-16 range.

Honestly, it saddens me that this website covers utter trash like this pathetic excuse for a TV Show and it basically ignores shows with actual plots, thoughts and insights like Better off Ted or The Good Family...or even Entourage. You wonder why the activity is down on all these comment boards? It's because the quality of the website has gone down so much that people just don't bother coming here anymore.

STOP WASTING OUR TIME WITH POINTLESS ARTICLES ABOUT MORONIC "REALITY" TV SHOWS!!!!!!

We want reviewcaps of scripted shows, news about ACTORS (you know, people with talent...even if it's mediocre, it's still more than some fatty on a dating show), and rumors/facts about our favorite TV Shows (not dating shows, shows with scripts), not this filth that you seem to be putting more and more of on the website.

Notice how neither comment on this idiotic article about an idiotic show actually mentions watching the crap? It's because nobody cares.

I'd rather hear updates on the rumors about Futurama, or maybe a reviewcap that actually REVIEWS AND RECAPS the previous night's episodes (like this site used to do) without a 500-word limit, or lists about Frasier, etc. But please, no more of this filth about dating shows, only the most vapid and moronic people care about that filth.

Idol and So You Think You Can Dance are okay because the people have talent (moreso in the dancing program than in Idol), but 99% of "Reality TV" is BS and serves no purpose other than to waste time.
