Battlestar's Michael Hogan makes a trip to the Dollhouse

batlestar michael hogan dollhouseMichael Hogan isn't done with Battlestar Galactica just yet. The actor who played the show's hardest drinking toaster will appear in the upcoming BSG TV movie The Plan, directed by Edward James Olmos. Hogan is sticking with sci-fi for his next two TV outings, a possible recurring role on Syfy's Warehouse 13 and a guest spot on Dollhouse.

Hogan will join former BSG actor and Dollhouse cast member Tahmoh Penikett in a season two episode of Dollhouse. He won't be the only BSG alum guest starring on Dollhouse this year. Jamie Bamber, who played Apollo, will show up in the season premiere, set to air September 25.

Hogan will also appear as Agent Myka's hard-ass dad later this season on Warehouse 13.

Hogan was a standout as the irascible Saul Tigh during BSG's four-year run. It's easy to predict he'll steal the show from the regulars on Dollhouse and Warehouse 13, but I hope we'll get to see another side of Hogan in one of these shows. We've seen him play the desperate, grizzled grouch for four years. He's great at it, but I'd love to see him do something different.

As long as he doesn't wind up like Tricia Helfer, who seems to play the same basic character in everything she's been on lately.

I am happy for him, he was truly awesome on Battlestar (as were a lot of the other actors).

I'm happy for myself as I will hopefully get to see his range as an actor.
