Simon Cowell is reportedly finalizing a deal to extend his 'American Idol' fun for three additional seasons.Also in the news today: 'Pee-Wee''s Paul Reubens stages a comeback, while TNT renews 'HawthoRNe' for a second season.

Simon Cowell is reportedly finalizing a new deal with 'American Idol.' The deal would keep him on the judges panel for at least three additional years, and could earn him as much as $45 million per season. Meanwhile, Fox has yet to comment. Looks like 'Idol' really is moving on without Paula. [Hollywood Reporter]
Paul Reubens will star in a special limited stage version titled 'The Pee-Wee Herman Show,' beginning this November. The show will run for 17 performances at Hollywood's Music Box @ Fonda, and will include many of 'Pee-Wee''s original artists. Tickets for 'The Pee-Wee Herman Show' went on sale this earlier this morning. [Pitch Engine]
TNT has renewed 'HawthoRNe' for a second season. The Jada Pinkett Smith medical drama, which averaged a healthy 3.8 million viewers this season, will return for 10 additional episodes, beginning sometime next summer. Apparently, TNT really does know drama. [Variety]
Will Arnett will star in a new Fox comedy series from 'Arrested Development''s Mitch Hurwitz and Jim Vallely. The trio will co-write the single-camera series, about a Hollywood jerk who becomes romantically involved with "a charitable tree-hugging woman who can't stand his lifestyle or values." Expect viewers everywhere to tune in to see whether Arnett made a huge mistake. [Hollywood Reporter]
Fox will air a two-hour documentary dedicated to Octomom Nadya Suleman. The special (airing Wed., Aug. 19) will chronicle seven months of footage, dating back to the birth of her octuplets in January. [Hollywood Reporter]
Fox will dedicate a full hour to the 'King of the Hill' series finale, airing Sun., Sept. 13 at 8PM. The two-part episode will reportedly feature -- among other things -- Hank's mother, who surprises everyone by marrying a man she's barely known. 'King of the Hill' is ending after 13 seasons. Cheryl Ladd is about to get in touch with her inner cougar. The 'Charlies Angels' star will guest on an upcoming episode of 'CSI: Miami,' playing a rich wife with a penchant for dating younger men on the side. Looks like 'Cougar Town''s Courteney Cox may have some competition. [PEOPLE]
