The movie did so well, that now Audrey Niffenegger's novel The Time Traveler's Wife will be adapted into a series by ABC. No word yet on casting. I haven't seen the movie but have read the book and given the ending of the book (which I won't spoil for those who haven't seen the movie or read the book), I don't see how a sequel series is possible.

Most likely, it will be a remake and not a sequel, but that could be confusing for the audience as well. Perhaps they should keep the title and have it be a complete different couple?

Seriously, how can they do this successfully as a series? Will it be something like Quantum Leap except rather than trying to change history Henry DeTamble is just trying to get home before Claire's pot roast gets cold?

While I think it was a good concept for a movie, I don't see this working as a television series. It will be just another Mr. and Mrs. Smith television series and will be gone before we know it.
