America's Best Dance Crew is boring me so far this season

Artistry in MotionAmerica's Best Dance Crew is three weeks into its new season, and it's still kind of boring. It's gotten so bad, that this week as host Mario Lopez was declaring safe crews, I realized that I'm not recognizing most of them right away. So You Think You Can Dance had the same problem this summer; nobody dynamic really jumping out for the longest time.

America doesn't seem to know who to vote for either, because their "safe" crews each week look like they're being drawn out of a hat. Just this week, the bottom two crews by America's vote gave the best two performances of the night by a landslide.

So, while lesser crews move on, one of the best two groups of the night is gone. This season, the regional breakdown was four crews from the West Coast, four crews from the East Coast, and Southern Movement. All alone representing the South and for the second time in three weeks, Southern Movement found themselves in the bottom two.

They were joined by Rhythm City, there for the first time. Other than Southern Movement, no other crew has been in the bottom two or three more than once, which pretty much sealed their fate. It also indicates that America still hasn't latched onto any favorites.

Particularly telling is that judge Shane Sparks effectively called Southern Movement's performance last week flawless. But, as they incorporate Southern line dance movements into their routines, he wanted to find things bad to say about them. He just couldn't.

Again this week, Southern Movement gave a great performance, as did Rhythm City. While the rest of the crews struggled to effectively incorporate the martial arts challenge into their choreography, both of America's least favorite crews brought power, diversity and energy to their pieces. I so wanted to have the judges just break the rules and eliminate someone else completely.

This season definitely sucks. I cant believe Rhythem city got kicked off cause them and massive monkey were the best crews. I only say massive cause they hav more tricks but rhythem city was off the chain that kill bill performance brought the house down. This just shows what happens when u hot people voting for you just cause they know you and not because they can dance. Im not knockin afro but what the hell r they even doing on the show their moves r 3rd grade amatuer with the only difficulty being their partnering. If u gave them a challenge where they couldnt partner people wld c them for the straight garbage they r. This season is a joke and even though i know Afro wnt win im still not going 2 continue watchin this show is bout crews who can get down in the streets and battle that is definitly not afro

I agree, this season is BORING!!!! I thought most of the groups last night were sloppy, didn't use the stage, and had uncomplicated choreography.
I don't like too many of them. I think the judges should be harsh on their slacking and sloppy routines. This was once agreat show, a must-see. Now, not so much.

I only turned on the show to see Donyelle and Artistry in Motion. Since they got eliminated, I stopped watching.

yesh! this season is horrible! The show is trying too hard to showcase different styles of dance.. I guess too many b-boy crews are winning.. its like they boycotted them this year. You can still have great crews that aren't break dancers ie. Fanny Pack. what happened this year in casting?! Napoleon and Tabitha didn't put this garbage through I refuse to believe that..

Rhythm City will win it all.. it seems they are the only ones who can really dance.. if they get voted off i cant see myself sticking with it this season.. no creativity.. and it seems like everyone is dancing in slow motion..

Shane Sparks might walk off set if the level of dance doesn't pick up.. JC looks embarrassed every time its his turn to critique..
