As Lindsay Lohan ponders a reality show, I remember when she had a career

Do you remember the good old days? The innocent times when Lindsay Lohan was an up and coming young movie star. She received critical acclaim for those early roles. She was beautiful and voluptuous (and you know how the kids love that!). Then she got into drugs, drinking, partying, weighing less than 90 pounds, and it all kind of fell apart. Since then, she's cleaned up her act a bit.Which is great, Lindsay. But Lindsay Lohan in a reality show? You do know what kind of celebrities appear in realty shows? Do you think Whitney Houston and Britney Spears were at the heights of their careers when they did their amazing stints in reality television?
Speaking of Brit-Brit, LiLo is working with her manager on the project. Hopefully not the same guy that helped develop Britney & Kevin: Chaotic. The series is intended to follow Lohan as she attempts to get her career back on track.
I applaud her efforts to right her ship; I'm sure Britney can provide some good advice on that front, as well, but I'm not sure doing it in front of cameras is a good idea. Of course, I say that about a young woman who's every move has been chronicled on film for years and years now. Hell, she probably feels naked when there aren't flashbulbs and lights on her. And sometimes she feels naked when they are on her ... because she is.
I wish her the best, because she really did have something going for her in those movies before it all went so wrong. Even Labor Pains, which premiered on ABC Family when it didn't make it to the silver screen, showed some of that spark. America loves comeback kids, so maybe this could work. And hey, if VH1 is serious about doing "redemptive" programming, maybe they're looking for Lindsay Lohan's reality show.
And if she falls off the wagon, she'll fit right in with the other "classy ladies" on that network.
