Big Brother 11: HoH #9 conclusion, Nominations #9

(S11E23) You don't always see them wearing them, but three out of the final five hamsters in the Big Brother 11 house wear eyeglasses. It was four out of six wearing them before the Russell boot last week. Yes, Russell wore glasses. I recall him mentioning that they didn't want him to wear them in his diary room segments. Perhaps they didn't fit the persona of his brawny beastie-boy character the show wanted to portray.
Once again we had a continuation of the head of household competition. I'm not sure what's up with that this season. They're not really endurance comps; they're just longer than the show can air. Have they run out of short comp ideas? It seems we were lacking one real endurance comp this season. Now I think it's too late for one as we head into the final four this week. One component of the final three is always endurance.
At least the comp provided us with some comedy relief as they went all slapstick on us with Jordan and Michele's falls. More important than their clumsiness was the absolute lack of trying to win on Natalie's part. Now, I personally don't believe she's thrown every comp all season. But when she saw how well Kevin was doing, she decided to let him win it, let him make the decisions, and there would be no blood on her hands.
Thankfully Kevin wised up to Natalie's method of operation. I can only hope he keeps it in mind further down the line. He needs Natalie right now for the numbers. But he needs to blow her away in the final three comp even more. I think the only person Kevin might be able to win up against in the final two would be Michele. He should be thinking about that ... like, right now.
Michele is a bit of a sad case. A lot of it is her own doing -- she doesn't mix well with others, she doesn't get close to others, no one in the house knows much about her or her strategy, thus there's this big cloak of mystery about her. It was sad to see her so all alone and crying. She may very well be playing a good game. But the best she can hope for is second place. Any of the others in the house would beat her in a jury vote.
So, who's Kevin to nominate? He really doesn't have much of a choice. He can't put Natalie up because he needs her. He's down to Jordan, Jeff, and Michele. He made a promise to Jeff that he wouldn't nominate him. But this is a show of backstabbing and deceit. Jeff promised Russell safety, then backdoored him. What can he really say if Kevin puts him on the block?
If Kevin puts Jordan and Michele on the block and Jeff wins the veto, he'd save Jordan. That would force Kevin to put Natalie up. While that scenario would make me a happy woman, as Natalie irks me to no end, it would be a bad move for Kevin. If Kevin puts Jeff and Michele up and one wins the veto, Kevin would then have the choice to put Jordan up, thus saving his precious princess Natalie. Jeff and Michele are the two strongest competitors in the house.
For his game, Kevin did the right move by nominating Jeff and Michele. Jeff got got this time. Now he might know how Russell felt.
