'Women's Murder Club' was one of a number of "on the bubble" ABC shows after the strike-shortened season. It's unfortunate that it was canceled, in effect, to make space for a second season of 'Eli Stone', which ended up canceled anyway after a handful of episodes.

'Eli" was a great concept which was, in my opinion, horribly executed in about 80% of its episodes. 'Women's Murder Club' wasn't startlingly original, but the source material was good, the episodes were generally well-executed, and it probably had more long-term potential.

Angie Harmon is few people's idea of a great actress, but the character of Lindsay Boxer was well-suited to her particular talents and limitations, and the supporting cast was quite competent and worked well together. Having seen how badly 'Eli' turned out, I pine for what might have been, even if it wouldn't have worked out either.
