Kenny vs. Spenny seeking competition ideas
How do you top the competitions in a show that forces two TV schlubs to wear a dead octopus on their heads or consume more beer than an Oakland Raiders tailgater? You let their crazed fans throw down the gauntlet for them.
The Canadian Jackass-off that is Kenny vs. Spenny wants competition ideas from their viewers for their sixth season.
For those who aren't in the know, the show pits best friends/mortal enemies Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice in ridiculous and inane competitions. The challenges are a mix of physical and emotional strength and endurance, from simple challenges such as staying awake the longest or losing the most weight to crazier fare such as who is the better pro wrestler or who can last the longest in a gorilla suit. The loser has to do something humiliating.
The idea for the challenge will be used for a single episode or could feature a string of mini-challenges that come from their audience, given the nature of the show. If you're interested in creating a challenge for the boys that can top what they've already done but aren't sure how to get started, here's some advice: take about a third of LSD, whack yourself across the face with a shovel and quit showering for a couple of days. Oh, and carry a notebook wherever you go. You never know when the drugs will kick in inspiration will strike.
Kenny vs. Spenny has been a huge hit on Canadian cable and made its second American debut in 2007 on Comedy Central, thanks in part to Matt Stone and Trey Parker who worked with Hotz on South Park. The latest season airs in the States at 2:30 AM/1:30 AM Central on Sundays, the ideal time slot for people who don't shower much.
