What to Watch This Week: September 7-13

by Stephanie Earp, posted Sep 8th 2009 2:30PM

On September 9, television is one giant smorgasbord of anticipation, glitter and frivolity.

On the redux version of 'Melrose Place' (10 PM, Global) Ashlee Simpson is going to tread where only Heather Locklear should dare, while Tyra's back with a new season of 'America's Next Top Model' (8 PM, CTV/CW) and she finally got the hint and is starting with a makeover.

Plus, the second episode of 'Glee' (9 PM, Global/Fox) is airing and we can all decide now if we really like it or have spent all summer fooling ourselves. It's gonna be heavy night - you might want to call in sick tomorrow.

Also This Week:

September 7 - 'Plastic Makes Perfect' (10 PM ET, Slice)
This week's hidden-camera bit watches commuters decide whether to help a stranded gal with a cute turned-up nose as often as one with a witch-sized honker.

September 12 - 'Ford Models Supermodel of the World Canada' (8 PM ET, CTV)
Seriously, people: look at that show title again and marvel at the redundant words. But at least by the end of this episode there will be fewer redundant girls - we'll get down to eight.

September 12 - 'Project Runway' (3 PM ET, Slice)
Litigation resolved, Project Runway returns from legal hell today - and I do mean day. Check out that 3 pm start.

September 13 - 'Conviction Kitchen' (10 PM ET, Citytv)
Toronto-based chef Marc Thuet tries his hand at being Jamie Oliver by inviting a bunch of ex-cons to come work in a restaurant kitchen.
