What to Watch This Week: September 14-21

by Stephanie Earp, posted Sep 14th 2009 4:45PM

This Thursday, 'The Office' is back with season 6. (8 PM ET, Global/NBC)

Last season was a bit of mixed bag - with the Jim and Pam romance resolved, the show was forced to look elsewhere for longer plot arcs. The Dwight-Angela-Andy love triangle was good for a few awkward laughs, but didn't offer the same vicarious thrill. Can season 6 bring the show back on track?

The debut episode is called 'Gossip' and considering Jim and Pam just found out they're pregnant, but want to keep it a secret until after they get hitched, I'd say it's a pretty good bet Michael's going to find out.

Also This Week:

September 15 - 'The Biggest Loser' (8 PM ET, CityTV/NBC)
The double-entendre in the name of this show has always irked me, but friends in the fitness industry tell me the show is truly inspiring. Back for an 8th season with a two-hour premiere, word is one of the sixteen contestants faces a health problem in the very first episode.

September 17 - 'Survivor: Samoa' (8 PM ET, Global/CBS)
Samoa marks the nineteenth season of 'Survivor', and every season brings so many new twists and rules I'm not sure I'd recognize the game I first watched in the summer of 2000. This time the players have to choose a tribal chief - without speaking - and that chief is in charge of all the tribe's decisions. Shades of 'The Apprentice' anyone?

September 18 - 'Seinfeld' (10 PM ET, Fox)
The endless 'Seinfeld' reruns come around to 'The Soup Nazi' episode.
