Jonathan Coulton weighs in on Fall TV

jonathan coultonLike most people in this world, I often turn to master geek musician Jonathan Coulton when I'm trying to figure out how I should feel about something (you can smell hair burning when I try to think for myself).

So imagine my horror when the Fall schedule started filling out and Mr. Coulton was still dealing with strictly music-related matters. Well, I can finally have a restful night of sleep, because John Sellers of True Slant has gotten Jonathan Coulton's take on Fall TV.

I loved each and every one of Coulton's predictions, most more than the actual premises of the shows. Maybe this is a testament to Coulton's humor, or perhaps it's more telling of how utterly super-crappy some of these programs are. Actually, when I first read this, I skimmed through the Accidentally on Purpose section and I thought the real premise was a joke. Oops.

I would also like to say for the record that I would totally watch a medical drama scripted by Jonathan Coulton. Or one starring Jonathan Coulton. It's a shame his sitcom with Paul and Storm and Neil Gaiman never took off.

Having Coulton weigh in on TV shows is a funny topic. His music rocks, and this was a great read!
