Fox Renews 'Glee' for Full Season & More TV News

Glee renewedFox gives 'Glee' a full-season order, 'House' premieres strong, FX sets a premiere date for 'The League' and more of today's top TV headlines.Glee renewedFox has picked up 'Glee' for a full season. The network will air 22 episodes of the musical comedy series, making it the first new show of the season to get a full-season order. Now, that's something to sing about. [Hollywood Reporter]

HouseLast night's season premiere of 'House' earned a staggering 16.5 million viewers, helping Fox to win the opening night of the season for the first time ever. Also premiering strong were new episodes of CBS' 'The Big Bang Theory' (12.8 million viewers) and 'Two and a Half Men' (13.6 million). On the downside: 'Dancing With the Stars' had its lowest premiere since season 1, with 17.1 million, while NBC's 'Heroes' premiered to 6 million viewers, down 46 percent from last season. The LeagueFX has set a premiere date for the upcoming comedy series 'The League,' about a fantasy football league. The show, starring Mark Duplass (pictured), will premiere Thu., Oct. 29 at 10:30PM, and will run after new episodes of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.' [Hollywood Reporter]

Betty White 30 Rock'Golden Girls' alum Betty White will guest on an upcoming episode of '30 Rock.' The Emmy winner will play herself on the episode, with a premiere date yet to be announced. Lily Tomlin DamagesOscar nominee Lily Tomlin has joined 'Damages' season 3. Lily will play mom to the recently cast Campbell Scott, whose family goes after Patty Hewes (Glenn Close) with the help of their lawyer, played by Martin Short. [USA Today]
