(S03E02) The scene we've been waiting for all summer long has finally aired: Blair discovering that Georgina is her college roommate! Even if the scene fell flat a tiny bit because it quickly cut to commercials after Georgina announced she was coming to NYU and was Blair's roommate, the rest of the episode Gossip Girl delivered the evil and backstabbing we've grown to love from both ladies. I do not wish any new TV show to get canceled -- Michelle Trachtenberg is on NBC's Mercy -- but admit that it would be great to have Georgina stick around for most of the season, eh?

What the episode lacked in Georgina and Blair interactions was actually seeing them interact in their room together. We've seen Georgina get some of her stuff out as she explained to Blair how she changed, but that's about it. How about the girls going to bed and one not allowing the other to sleep? Or them setting boundaries in their room? I hope we see some of this interaction in the very few episodes Georgina is set to appear in.

Georgina may have undermined Blair a few times in the episode, but you have to admit she did change. Old Georgina would have found an evil way -- similar to what Blair did to have people leave the rooftop party -- to crash the sushi party instead of having people gather around to watch Vanessa's documentary, which is a nice gesture towards Vanessa. No matter, you can see that old Georgina is still pulling some strings as she lied about how she got to be Blair's roommate, she crashed the sushi party and threw her own bash to overshadow Blair.

A change I definitely did not see coming is that of Dan. As Vanessa told Scott, Dan used to be the guy staying in a corner at parties. Now, not only do people want to know if he'll go to a party to decide if they'll go themselves, but he has the confidence to take the mic at a party and finds the words to convince people to give Georgina a second chance and stick around. So far, I'm liking this new confident and outgoing Dan, and can't wait to see what comes next. Will he be King Bee since Blair can't be Queen Bee?

For all the bad she did in the past, Blair totally deserved everything that was thrown at her this time around. Blair definitely doesn't fit at NYU and she'll need to be open minded, patient and willing to calm down and accept she's not on top anymore if she wants to make it out alive and graduate. If she doesn't, it wouldn't surprise me to see her try to get transferred or even quit. I doubt Chuck and Serena will be much help to Blair. What she needs is someone to put some sense into her. If only Dorotea would stop doing everything and anything Blair wants and take a few minutes instead to tell Blair that she needs to make some life changes. Dorotea is Blair's ultimate rock, and I'm sure her suggestions would make Blair think.

Did you care about Serena's storyline? I surely didn't.

I don't know what to make of the Dan and Georgina reveal at the end. Either Dan was extremely drunk or he was blinded by Georgina's appearance of change. What do you think of Dan and Georgina hooking up, knowing full well who the other is (if you recall, Georgina pretended to be someone else when they first hooked up a while back)?

Scott is weird, eh? The fact that he freaked when asked to give details about other teachers makes me wonder if he even went to NYU during the summer. Yes he gave a list of comments on the teachers to Vanessa, but he could have gathered comments and grades from NYU students posting on the web. Do you agree, or do you think there is another story here? One thing is certain, I don't buy is the "I was overwhelmed at meeting all your friends" reason he gave to Vanessa.
