Matt LeBlanc found, will star in new Showtime comedy

Matt LeBlancA lot of people have wondered what happened to Matt LeBlanc. After Joey died, he seemed to fall off the face of the Earth. Even Friends cast members who aren't in the public eye a lot (like David Schwimmer) have been keeping busy and you often hear about them being in a movie or performing on stage. But no one really knew what LeBlanc. was up to (besides wondering about a Friends reunion movie).

Now we know. LeBlanc has signed on to star in a new comedy for Showtime titled Episodes. It will be one of those behind-the-scenes looks at a television show and will be produced by Friends co-creator David Crane and Mad About You producer Jeffrey Klarik.

The show will be about a British comedy being made into an American comedy and all of the troubles that happen during that process. LeBlanc will actually play himself, who has been picked to star in the new American version of the British show, a move the creators of the original aren't too happy about. Sounds like a great premise actually.

I was never any kind of Friends fan, but I might check this show out, if for no other reason than to see what, if any, British talent they manage to attract to it.

I liked "Joey", granted it wasn't "Friends" or cult hit, but it entertaining enough to kill 22 minutes which is more than I can say about many shows that lasted much longer.

Glad to see Andrea Anders back on TV with the above average "Better Off Ted"...

That is true, for the most part, the cast of Joey was great. If they had gotten any one of the Friends cast to do a cameo, ratings would have shot right up.
