Halloween's almost here, so we're giving tips on how to dress like your favorite TV characters. The Costume: The Nightman, The Dayman, Greenman, The Princess Waitress and Charlie's Yellow Proposal Tux from
'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'
What You'll Need:
For Nightman – A black karate uniform, a very generous wearing of eyeliner, slicked back hair and some sweet karate moves.
For Dayman – He is the fighter of The Nightman, champion of the sun, a master of karate and friendship for everyone. To convey that, it's all about a gray Spandex jumpsuit with a sash and a dance belt, or, if you want Dayman's bellbottom look, Spandex pants and long-sleeved top. And don't be afraid to expose a little chest hair ... that's how Dayman rolls.
For Greenman – All that's needed to dress as Charlie's enthusiastic Greenman: The official bright green Spandex Greenman costume and the willingness to bare your body's imperfections, head-to-toe, in bright green Spandex.
For The Princess Waitress – Sweet Dee portrayed The Princess Waitress in 'The Nightman Cometh,' representing Charlie's unrequited love for The Waitress, and a Princess Waitress costume can be fashioned from a pink princess dress and maroon apron.
For Charlie's Yellow Proposal Tux – Yes, believe it or not, you can purchase a sunny yellow tuxedo, just like Charlie wore when he proposed to The Waitress at the end of 'The Nightman Cometh.' And don't forget the white top hat and cane.
Optional Accessories: For Greenman, a football, because he's all about the pigskin; for Nightman, cat-eye contact lenses; and for the other characters, the costume wouldn't be complete without learning the lyrics to 'The Nightman Cometh' finale song.
