What to Watch: October 12 - 19

by Stephanie Earp, posted Oct 11th 2009 7:00PM

The Simpsons (Sunday, 8 pm, Global/Fox)

It's the 20th anniversary of the Treehouse of Horror Halloween Specials (can you believe it?), and this time Lisa pays homage to classic Hitchcock scenarios, Krusty turns Kent Brockman into a zombie and Homer fulfills his destiny, becoming a part-man, part-brewing apparatus.

(By the way, I'm aware that this is the day BEFORE the typical 'What to Watch' week. I just had to include it.)

Also This Week:

October 15 - 30 Rock (9:30 pm, Citytv/NBC)

Jack has big changes planned for TGS, which sends Pete and Liz out to scout for new talent. Memo to Jack: Thank God we're not the only ones who've noticed '30 Rock' could use some spicing up.

October 16 - Ugly Betty (8 pm, Citytv/ABC)

The show has been demoted to Fridays, but Betty has been promoted to associate features editor, and this week she has to run her own photo shoot for 'Mode'.

October 18 - Family Guy (9 pm, Global/Fox)

Dan Ackroyd and Chevy Chase are guest voices in this spy-adventure episode, playing suspicious characters who move into Cleveland's old house. Because if you're going to pay homage to a high point in your career, why wouldn't it be 'Spies Like Us'?
