According to the network's press release, 'The Real Housewives of New York City', which follows the lives of a number of the city's social elite, will be adding Sonja Morgan and Jennifer Gilbert to the upcoming third season, which will debut next year.

Morgan (pictured left), who is described as "running in social circles that include European royalty and top-notch designers," is a single mother who works as a restaurant consultant.

Gilbert, meanwhile, presides over a self-made empire including the event planning company Save the Date and was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young at the precocious age of 29. She is married with three children and throws weekly catered dinner parties.

Though there had been some speculation that one or more veteran 'Housewives' would not be returning, Bravo lists all of them among the cast; how they will react to the decreased screen time necessitated by a larger ensemble, however, remains to be seen. Needless to say, though, it's likely to cause some drama.

It's almost as if Bravo planned it that way.
