The feud between 'The Tonight Show' host Conan O'Brien and Newark Mayor Cory Booker finally came to end on Friday. Despite being jokingly banned from the Burbank airport by the talk show host, Mayer Booker traveled across the country last week to settle an ongoing war of words.
Though they were making amends, O'Brien confessed he couldn't avoid future jabs at the notoriously troubled city. So, he offered up the Newark Joke Jar (his gigantic version of a swear jar), where the host will deposit cash every time a joke is made on the show at Newark's expense. He also donated checks totaling $100,000 to the city of Newark.
O'Brien inadvertently kicked off the feud in late September when he joked that the mayor's health-care program would "consist of a bus ticket out of Newark." Booker then responded with a video of his own officially banning O'Brien from Newark Liberty International Airport.
