Review: Sons of Anarchy - Gilead

Ron Perlman on Sons of Anarchy(S0207) - "This club needs a healing brother, and you got to be the one to deliver it." - Bobby to Jax

The tension between Jax and Clay has never been thicker. You could make a birthday cake with it ... a big, tasty birthday cake of hate.

Tonight, it finally came to a head, and who knew that Agent Stahl would be the one to cut them down to slices? It looks like she finally got them ... or did she?

Kurt Sutter's episodes are always deeply complex and very clever, and last Tuesday's episode really put Jax and Clay in a corner. He should write every episode, if he were superhuman and incapable of suffering from total exhaustion.

The episode featured a good mix of funny, serious and sad moments; really, everything you hoped a show could be. It might have seemed completely foreign to someone who hasn't kept up with the show, and some moments did drag or felt tacked on to tie the story together in another draft, but it was tied together rather tight.

Prison life made for a good setting for the boys since it's a minefield of attacks. SAMCRO or at least Clay really underestimated Ethan Zobelle and his band of hoodies (no pun intended). Not only does he have them completely running from one chess piece to the next, but he's got them in a perfect position to either completely bankrupt or completely destroy them.

That's probably why the ending had such a sad feeling to it, as Jax walked into the garage and Clay and the rest of the club filed into the clubhouse. Jax is close to being completely alone within the ranks, and he's the one who tried to do the right thing for the good and future of the club. Does this mean he's out? Or just out of friends? We'll know in a week. Damn you, time!

Am I the only one who doesn't buy thar Stahl is there just for the IRA? Sure she may blame herself for Donna's death, but she didn't pull the trigger. I think SAMCRO has 2 problems, and Jax certainly didn't help things by giving Stahl a reason to suspect thar [Jay Karnes' character] is dead and not on the run as previously thought. And what's with the developer posting bail but not asking for the knife back? That would certainly have bought it back for him.

Poor Juice. He's never exactly been in the field much, but when he does it's always the crap jobs. Wading through crap to get guns, plugging someone's butt, being bait for a creepy molestor, getting his rib broken by Tig, and then he gets shanked? He even has it worse than the Prospect.

I really liked this show but last weeks episode left me feeling so so about it. I really dont think samcro would be that stupid to fall for the setup that Zobelle did.

If you've ever seen Gangland on the history channel it tells the inside stories of some of America's most notorious street gangs.

There have been quite a few episodes on biker gangs and when it comes to retaliation or protecting their turf they don't do the smart thing. They will attack in broad daylight, surrounded by witnesses, and even when outnumbered.

basically F-U.

and that they got rid of agent cohn, so they could get rid of her.

i thought Zobell would try to make a move on the auto body shop since only Opie was there to protect it.

I believe he asked if she had seen Kohn lately, then said "It's dangerous being a Fed"
