Straight Outta Da Office: Subtle Sexuality

The Office: Subtle SexualityIf The Real Housewives of Atlanta can record an upbeat party tune, why not (the beautiful and mysterious) Kelly Kapoor and (the pretty) Erin Hannon from The Office? They may fictional characters on a sitcom, but they are just as real as the Housewives. And their debut song, "Male Prima Donna," is a lot more fun than tardiness in regards to the party.

Kapoor and Hannon are the new singing sensation Subtle Sexuality, and "Male Prima Donna" dropped just after midnight this morning. They already have a Web site, a merchandise page with t-shirts, mugs, and tour posters. es, they list several dates in and around the Scranton, PA area and one in Ithaca. If you happen to be in the Dickson City, PA area tonight, you can catch the tour kickoff at Idle Hour Bowling Karaoke.

Kapoor lists Rhianna, Katy Perry, J. Hud, and the Kardashians as influences. She wrote the song, apparently, so that's why her name is bigger and bolder everywhere on the site. "Male Prima Donna" is a song of Kapoor's obsession for the wrong man, played in the video by Ryan's bad boy rapper alter-ego, Mr. Understood (who is, the video title explains, introduced here). And if that wasn't enough, the ladies get a vocal assist from the boy band crooning of 'Nard Dog (Andy).

The video is filled with wonderfully awkward dancing and falling (especially from Hannon, whose "I'm Your Venus" dance is priceless) and questionable clothing choices (White tux and top hat? Pirates?). And all of the electronically treated disco robot vocal effects you can handle.

If the URL gets past the server's filter, I'm guessing www.subtlesexuality.com will be lighting up office screens all over the country today. You saw it here first! There are two webisodes that lead up to the video, and the third webisode contains the music video itself.

Since the embed code for the music video by itself isn't working, here's the final webisode, which includes the "Male Prima Donna" video:

They really aren't using Ellie Kemper nearly enough in the Office. Especially after looking at her bio...she's talented and funny as well as really cute. I want more!

Also: more Creed!
