A raft of producers are attached to the HBO/Lionsgate TV project, including Jason Blum ('Paranormal Activity').

October has been a busy month for Ellis. Two weeks ago, Variety reported that he's working with director Gus Van Sant on yet another tale of mayhem in Manhattan high society. The novelist and the 'Milk' director are teaming up to write a true-crime screenplay about the 2007 double suicides of New York artists Theresa Duncan and Jeremy Blake.
