Allison already gave you the news that James Franco is going to guest star on 30 Rock, and now Kristin over at E! has done a little detective work and has news about another casting coup for the NBC show (possible spoilers follow).

An E! correspondent talked to Alec Baldwin on the red carpet at an Elle party and Baldwin told her that he's getting a new love interest on the show. When asked who, he wouldn't say, but looked around and said it was someone who was near to them.

Around Baldwin were Julianne Moore, Katie Holmes, Emily Blunt, Julie Andrews, Renee Zellweger, Becki Newton, Brenda Strong, and Zoe Saldana. Now, a couple of those women might be too young for Baldwin, Zellweger is probably too busy with movies, and Andrews might be too old, so Kristin at E! is guessing it's Moore (also, Moore lives in New York where the show is filmed and her rep wouldn't deny it, saying only to "contact NBC" about it).

I agree with Kristin that Andrews would be a great choice. Or if they're going to go with a Moore, how about Mary Tyler? It might be funny to see Jack Donaghy with an older, powerful woman.
