Janet Jackson in primetime special ... talking, not singing

by Allison Waldman, posted Nov 4th 2009 12:35PM
janet_jackson_portraitABC News has landed Janet Jackson for a primetime special. The award-winning singer will not be singing and dancing. Instead, she will be talking about her brother Michael Jackson. Good Morning America host, Robin Roberts, will be doing the in-depth interview with Janet.

The show will air on Wednesday, November 18, at 10 p.m. (Eastwick will be pre-empted). The interesting thing about the timing is that Janet's new CD compilation, a double set of her hit songs called Number Ones, will be released on November 17

Yes, yes, I know I'm too cynical for my own good, but it's quite a coincidence, don't you think? By the way, the double album features her latest single "Make Me" and fan favorites like "Feedback" and "What's It Gonna Be?"

Anyway, Janet has been very upfront and open when it comes to talking about Michael. I'm sure they'll discuss the success of This Is It, how Michael's children are doing in the wake of their father's sudden death, and probably many other Jackson family subjects.

I'll be stunned if Robin doesn't ask a few questions about Janet's musical career, her new projects, upcoming appearances, etc. Who knows, maybe Janet will reminisce about her wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl?

oh for the love of god.
(i refer you to the Joe Jackson quote a week ago, along the lines of "Michael is worth more dead than he was alive")

Micheal Jackson looked like he was very mad on his shows onstage at the last of his days , it sure was very sudden without any symptoms , i think he needed a psychologist insteasd of a doctor . someone to talk to about what was going on with his feelings about his personal life , he worked to much all the time . it sounds like he was overworked . we will always remember him , he brought meaning to peoples lifes in music .
