Janet Jackson in primetime special ... talking, not singing
ABC News has landed Janet Jackson for a primetime special. The award-winning singer will not be singing and dancing. Instead, she will be talking about her brother Michael Jackson. Good Morning America host, Robin Roberts, will be doing the in-depth interview with Janet. The show will air on Wednesday, November 18, at 10 p.m. (Eastwick will be pre-empted). The interesting thing about the timing is that Janet's new CD compilation, a double set of her hit songs called Number Ones, will be released on November 17
Yes, yes, I know I'm too cynical for my own good, but it's quite a coincidence, don't you think? By the way, the double album features her latest single "Make Me" and fan favorites like "Feedback" and "What's It Gonna Be?"
Anyway, Janet has been very upfront and open when it comes to talking about Michael. I'm sure they'll discuss the success of This Is It, how Michael's children are doing in the wake of their father's sudden death, and probably many other Jackson family subjects.
I'll be stunned if Robin doesn't ask a few questions about Janet's musical career, her new projects, upcoming appearances, etc. Who knows, maybe Janet will reminisce about her wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl?
