Ben 10The Cartoon Network is getting in on the action -- live action, that is.

The network has just picked up its first-ever live-action series -- 'Tower Prep' and 'Unnatural History' -- with production expected to begin in January, according to Variety.

Starring Drew Van Acker, 'Tower Prep' will tell the story of a teen who winds up at a mysterious school for students with unique potential. In 'Unnatural History,' a worldly student (Kevin G. Schmidt) and his smart alec cousin (Jordan Gavaris) find that D.C.'s National Museum of Natural History holds more mystery than history (bring on the 'Night at the Museum' crossover episode).Ben 10The Cartoon Network is getting in on the action -- live action, that is.

Of course, this is isn't the network's first foray into live action altogether. In 2007, it launched the movie 'Ben 10: Race Against Time,' which earned the Cartoon Network its biggest audience to that point. It's also currently home to handful of reality series, including 'Bobb'e Says' and 'Destroy Build Destroy.'

A new 'Ben 10' movie is set to air later this month. Other upcoming live-action fare includes a 'Scooby Doo' prequel movie -- all part of a plan announced back in March.
