Smallville: Maybe the Wonder Twins episode won't be so bad

Smallville Wonder TwinsSo that silly pair of purple-clad superheroes, The Wonder Twins, are coming to Smallville this Friday. I can think of worse things that could happen to the show: Kristin Kreuk could return (shudder), for example, or Clark's bare chest could start to sparkle in the sunlight, ala Edward Cullen. Now that would be truly terrible.

But Zan and Jayna nerding up the joint? Sounds like fun to me.

Being a fan of the veteran superhero series, I'm not embarrassed to say that I'm looking forward to seeing the live-action Twins bump fists this Friday. (I wouldn't even mind a cameo from everybody's favorite blue monkey, Gleek, but sadly I don't think that's in the cards.)

I know some folks might think the Twins' appearance is a sign that Smallville is, well, continuing to trample on the Superman mythos with its serial stupidity. And they might be right. But so what? Smallville took a big left turn away from being a credible Superman origin story years ago. But it's still a fun, geeky show, and it offers way more action, humor and superhero awesomeness than that other show about people with super powers.

So check out the latest Wonder-filled clip from this Friday's ep and let us know: Are you looking forward to seeing Allison Scagliotti and David Gallagher paint the town purple?

What is left to watch on Smallville. Old plastic Erica Durance with her large fake boobs that make the appearance before she waddles in the room. Smallville is a joke. At least when Kristin Kreuk was on the show, there was a degree of acting and sincerity in the series.

For the people not watching Smallville this season, boy are you missing the best season ever. Not only is it a whole new show with fantastic writing (I can't believe I'm saying that) but Smallville feels like a movie now. And what's finally clicking the most is the relationship between Lois and Clark. This is the Clark we've been waiting for. A grown man ready to become a Superman. As long as the Wonder Twins is the B plot and the focus is on Lois/Clark/The Blur the episode is definitely not going to suck

Too bad I gave up on this show in the second season when it became Superman's Creek.... they started pulling out the geek stuff I would like like the Justice League and now the Wonder Twins... Especially sad I won't be watching it even though Allison Scagliotti is always fun to watch... oh well.
