I always watch the whole WSOP. It's awesome. Norm can be hit or miss with me, sometimes I think he gets too hooked on a joke or a line. Overall great year for the WSOP.

I couldn't wait to watch this last night as I've been following the main event every week leading up to this final table. I went crazy all day yesterday trying to keep off the Internet and away from all news shows so it would not be spoiled for me by hearing who won prematurely. At about five o'clock last night, my brother called me from Chicago and the first thing he said when I answered the phone was , "Hey, I saw that kid won eight million dollars at the WSOP." I guess I forgot to include that I shouldn't answer my phone all day either.

I enjoyed the coverage and enjoyed the hands played. Probably the person who enjoyed it the most was the guy in the audience that Cada kept going over to for support.....he was the one who gave him the money to play in the event and, consequently, gets half of his winnings. A great payday for both of them.

i watched it delayed last night even though i knew the final two, but i didnt want to know the winner before i watched. very hard to avoid that news, i didnt want to know the final table even, but darvin moon is 'local' and the washington post kept having articles on him.
and yes, espn botched it having it go over. so i had to re tivo the recording at 3 am and a football game at 5am and watch that this morning to catch the final 3.

overall, i think i am done with wsop. it is too big and goes on for far too long. how many weeks did i have to watch 2 hours every week? 9 weeks??? i like to see the actors and helmuth et al (why does anyone like ivey? he has no personality, even if he does outside poker, we're not watching him outside poker) but it really is much fast forwarding for me. i'll have to get my fix of norman chad in his columns.

I am a 47 year old woman who started watching the World Poker Tour season one (can't remember the year, I want to say 1999-2000) and got my husband interested. We have always been big card players but really fell in love with Texas Hold Em' and have been playing ever since. We have home games but do travel to various casinos as well. Our big dreams are to one day enter the World Series. I think poker is just as big if not bigger than it ever has been. I also have experienced the growth of women in poker and personally LOVE Annie Duke and Jennifer Harmon! Go GIRLS! We have the youngest player to win World Series now lets have the first woman.

It's too bad that Yahoo had to go and ruin the entire tournament by posting the winner on their front page yesterday before ESPN had aired the final. Sure, I know it's not broadcast live, but when you've been watching the series for two weeks and are looking forward to the final, it sucks to have it ruined because a news outlet HAD to make it their lead story.

I recorded the show and started watching the show when I got home from work. I was very upset when the recording ended with three payers still at the final table. If this was a live event, I would have added extra time. How do you go over the allotted time on a recorded event? ESPN should rebroadcast the final table for those who missed the end of the show.

I watch only because I love poker.

That and because people like Daniel Nagreanu, Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth and other big poker names are entertaining to watch.

Sucked to see Phil Ivey go out in 7th, and Nagreanu go out in day one. Ivey and Negreanu should have been 1 and 2!

I was very much interested in watching it. I play a lot of poker so it appeals to me. I could see why most people would not find it interesting though. My wife tolerates it sometimes. I also know quite a few people who watch it so I believe there is still an audience for it.

Oh and I haven't watched the whole thing so I can't really comment on what happened. I wish I could have kept my head in the sand and not found out who won.....
