OK, not exactly, but The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Jeffrey Tambor has signed on to join David Tennant in 'Rex Is Not Your Lawyer,' a new pilot being produced for NBC.

Tambor, of course, is best known for his role as incarcerated patriarch George Bluth, Sr. on the late, lamented cult classic 'Arrested Development', while Tennant is currently wrapping up an acclaimed stint as the Tenth Doctor on the equally classic 'Doctor Who'.

'Rex' follows the adventures of Tennant's title character, Rex Alexander, a lawyer who starts suffering panic attacks in the courtroom and thus begins coaching his clients to act as their own laywer. Tambor will play Rex's psychiatrist, who is an expert on anxiety disorders thanks to the fact that he himself experiences them as well. Complicating matters further is the fact that Tambor's character will become romantically involved with Rex's mother.

This sort of offbeat premise is nothing new for Tambor, who honed his dry delivery on the groundbreaking HBO comedy 'The Larry Sanders Show', where he played Ed McMahon stand-in Hank Kingsley. And Tennant is also a humor veteran, having spent several years specializing in comedic roles with The Royal Shakespeare Company in London prior to his work on 'Doctor Who'.
