Jon Stewart Responds to Sean Hannity's Apology on 'The Daily Show' (VIDEO)

Sean Hannity must have known that when you apologize to Jon Stewart, that's hardly the end of the story. Particularly not if there's more fun to be had.

Hannity recently apologized to Stewart after the 'Daily Show' host called him out for airing misleading footage during a 'Hannity' segment on a recent rally against health-care reform. The conservative talk show host had admitted to making an "inadvertent mistake" in showing images of a large crowd to illustrate the number of supporters at the gathering -- when in fact, as Stewart pointed out on his Tuesday night show, the footage Hannity was airing came from a different Capitol hill rally held months earlier.

So, post-mea culpa, the ball was squarely back in Stewart's court, and do you think he was just going to let it lie there? Of course not.Sean Hannity must have known that when you apologize to Jon Stewart, that's hardly the end of the story. Particularly not if there's more fun to be had.

So, post-mea culpa, the ball was squarely back in Stewart's court, and do you think he was just going to let it lie there? Of course not. On Thursday night's 'Daily Show,' Stewart responded with a segment that mocked not necessarily the apology itself, but the fact that he had to sit through the entirety of Hannity's show (clad in his bathrobe) to get to it. "It wasn't worth it!" he groaned.

He then confessed that though Hannity had thanked Stewart and his writers for watching his program, they had not actually done so -- then trotted out the "young" producer who'd been tasked with watching 'Hannity' for five months straight.
