Whoopi Goldberg came to Mike Tyson's defense on 'The View' after the heavyweight boxing champion allegedly punched out a paparazzo who was harassing him, his wife and 10-month-old child at Los Angeles International Airport.

Tyson was booked on suspicion of battery and then released from custody after the Nov. 11 incident which took place at a United Airlines ticket counter. Tyson and family had just returned on a flight from England to Los Angeles and were reportedly being trailed by the photographer who even followed Tyson into a bathroom.

"Who does that? Are people just getting dumber by the day?" Goldberg asked. "If you don't want to get hit, stay out of people's faces. That's what I say."
