George SegalAt an age when many actors would be thinking about slowing down, George Segal continues to set the bar high in both TV and film. The 'Just Shoot Me' alum is returning to the small screen in a starring role on TV Land's half-hour pilot, 'Retired at 35.'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story follows a successful young businessman who decides to leave the New York fast lane and move into his father's Florida retirement home. Don't look for Segal's character, the father, to be sitting around playing Canasta, though. He'll play a former insurance executive who's all about partying and having fun.George SegalAt an age when many actors would be thinking about slowing down, George Segal continues to set the bar high in both TV and film. The 75-year-old veteran actor began making movies in 1961, and continues cruising along with new projects year after year, from playing Murray Berenson on 'Entourage' to co-starring in the just-released disaster flick '2012.'

TV Land also recently announced plans to air reruns of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm,' but is following the lead of other basic cable networks and getting into original scripted series, as well. 'Retired' and another sitcom pilot 'Hot in Cleveland,' are their first, set to air during the network's primetime block, TV Land Prime.

Is this a good move for TV Land, or would you rather they stick to airing reruns of classic shows?
