What to Watch: November 16 - 22

by Stephanie Earp, posted Nov 16th 2009 2:00AM

Melrose Place (Wednesday, November 18, 10 pm, Global/CW)

From the sweeps guest-star pool, the new 'Melrose' has reeled in a mighty big fish. Heather Locklear reprises her role as Amanda Woodward tonight, and she starts things off by walking into her agency and axing half the staff, including Caleb. I want to stand up and cheer just writing about it. Basically, Locklear is gonna come in and run a clinic. Topics include scaring the crap out of employees, how to wear a mini skirt, and how not to get trapped on a sinking ship of a show.

Also This Week:

The Biggest Loser - November 17, 8 pm, Citytv/NBC

It's makeover week, and the always fabulous (and sort of worryingly thin, in person) Tim Gunn checks in to help the contestants dress their new bodies. Then it's reunion time, as friends and family get a look at the transformations. The challenge will send one contestant home, and another will win at trip to...Utah. Huh.

Glee - November 18, 9 pm, Global/Fox

Quinn and Finn (they should name that baby Lynn) go for dinner at Quinn's place, where the perfectly-cast Charlotte Ross ('NYPD Blue') plays Quinn's mom. Meanwhile, Mr. Shue is 'forced' to step in when a kid gets 'sick.' Yeah sure. Will just can't step out the spotlight, can he? Suggested 'CSI' crossover: show-choir teacher suspected of knocking off the kids in his group so he can have a few minutes of glory.

Battle of the Blades - November 22, 8 pm, CBC

This is the first night of the two-part finale, with all three final couples skating for the win. And the best part? I'm gonna be there! I'm ridiculously excited - the chance to see Sale, Dubreuil and Bourne skate in person is kind of incredible. Look for my column about the whole experience on Monday.
