Secret Life of the American TeenagerTeens in couples therapy, teens with a baby, teens breaking up because one's pressuring the other to have sex. -- holy high school drama!

Well, get ready to see a whole lot more of it, because 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager' is coming back a week earlier than expected, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The show -- which was originally scheduled to return on January 11 -- will now premiere Mon., Jan. 4, 8PM on ABC Family. Better yet: 12 new episodes have been ordered, which means there's plenty of nasty hallway glares to come.

Well, get ready to see a whole lot more of it, because 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager' is coming back a week earlier than expected, says the Hollywood Reporter.

Created by '7th Heaven''s Brenda Hampton, the show first aired in July 2008, with a storyline centered around Amy Juergens (Shailene Woodley), a high school student who gets pregnant and must face the obstacles of being a teen mom. Critics initially shunned the show, but viewers raved. The pilot episode smashed ABC's record for the highest-rated debut, and the audience has continued to grow, with its second season fall finale bringing in over four million viewers.

Looks like the 'Secret' is officially out.

When we last saw the crew from Grant High in September, Ben (Ken Baumann) was questioning his commitment to Amy. Amy's mom (played by Molly Ringwald) suddenly gave birth at home to baby Robbie, and Amy's dad (Mark Derwin) questioned the newborn's paternity (hey, Amy's parents were divorced and her mom was with another guy, so it's possible the baby isn't his. duh!).

Meanwhile, Grace's mom (Josie Bissett) jumped into a relationship fairly soon after her husband's sudden death in a plane crash, and Grace (Megan Park) decided to end things with Jack because he wants oral sex. Whew! Who would have thought that Adrian (Francia Raisa), the "easy" girl in school, and Ricky (Daren Kagasoff), Amy's bad boy baby-daddy, would become the most stable couple on the show?
