MSNBC also apologizes for using wrong Palin footage

by Danny Gallagher, posted Nov 20th 2009 7:12PM
If you're playing a TV news drinking game wherein you and your dumb little buddies have to do a shot every time someone posts fake footage or film for a story, you might want to think about switching to Tang.

Now MSNBC's Morning Meeting has been caught dipping their hand in the Photoshopping jar when they aired rather obvious fake photos of Sarah Palin while doing a diss-session on the former VP candidate and her never ending book tour. Seriously, why is there this much coverage over one book? Even The Never Ending Story has an ending.

Dylan Ratigan issued an official apology to the viewers, Palin and her family for "mistakenly" using the doctored images. He also said he and the network took the weekend to ensure this would not happen again. I guess that means there's one less email forwarding fratboy on MSNBC's research payroll now.

Talk about Fox: Now MSNBC's Morning Meeting has been caught dipping their hand in the Photoshopping jar when they aired rather obvious fake photos of Sarah Palin while doing a diss-session on the former VP candidate and her never ending book tour. FOX rules. That IS a true fact, liberals. Accept it.

Has anyone mentioned Al Gore's photoshopped picture on the cover of his new book, Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis" which was intentionally doctored to exaggerate the appearance of hurricanes in the northern hemisphere as well as reduce the amount of ice present in the Arctic? Yet he's the self-proclaimed expert and go-to guy for the left-wing. Anyone mention that nobody in the liberal media factchecked Obama's books? Didn't think so. Too bad bias has made its way into what was once a fun and entertaining read for TV viewers. As noted in many comments by others, TV Squad is not what it once was. Coincidence that folks are tiring of your bias like they did MSNBC, CNN and the networks? I think not.

Can television be trusted now a days?
MSNBC has no shame. We all know they did this intentionally. Shame on you and more power to Ms. Palin

This was so disgusting... and insulting. I would never watch or support MSNBC when they use their journalist resources in such poor taste. Total waste of our time, when instead we need honest journalism & reporting.

This double standard is maddening. This MSNBC fool gets away with lying about this being a "mistake", and using sexist language to defame and poke fun at Sarah Palin. MSNBC is a joke.

You really need to care. Have you ever voted? I believe everyone should vote. If you don't care, then I guess you don't vote either. You really should stay informed.

Hmmm, so there's ANOTHER error on given footage, this time by MSNBC. Fox was reported as using duplicate video to depict tea parties Sarah Palin's book signing. Just goes to show they all make mistakes. Fox is a conservative leaning network, and MSNBC is decidely liberal.

If people are watching FOX news, it is more like not being able to look away from a car accident on the side of the road then them being a legitimate news source. It is strangely entertaining to watch someone pretending to give a news report when it seems a lot more like Tokyo Rose all the way, you know what I mean? Watching FOX is like reading the Enquirer, only it leaves you a lot less satisfied........
