Jane Lynch can do everything, even Xbox 360 commercials
Is there anything that Jane Lynch can't do? The comic actress -- who some people are already declaring is a shoo-in for the Primetime Emmy as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama series for Glee -- has veered into a new venue. In addition to her television characters, Jane's brilliant performance as Sue Sylvester, her semi-regular shrink role, Dr. Freeman, on Two and a Half Men, Constance on Party Down, she's now doing commercials.
Yes, the latest triumph for La Lynch is a set of XBox 360 commercials that are all about fun.
In a variation of Sue, Jane is the ring leader in these ads. The main difference is that she's wearing a green track suit inside of McKinley High School red. Take a look at one of the bunch:
Jane Lynch has proven to be such a solid, sure performer that the moment I see her on screen, even in something as small as a commercial or as big as Meryl Streep's sister in Julie & Julia, I'm happy. I know that Jane is going to make whatever she's in better.
Right now, Jane Lynch has the Midas touch. Whatever she does it golden. In the Glee episode called "Wheels," she was simply amazing. The scene where Sue visits her older sister Lucy needed a delicate touch; it couldn't be blatant. Jane brought just the right emotional heft to the scene. It was a look, a small smile, a slight gesture and a little sigh before she began reading to Jean.
Gold. That's Jane... she's even got me interested in buying an XBox.
