Hot on the heels of USA's recent announcement to bring its detective series 'Psych' back for its fifth season comes news that the network has also renewed its hit spy drama 'Burn Notice' for a fourth year.

Despite a previous announcement that said the action series was picked up last July (news of which has been posted on the show's website), the renewal had only become official as of yesterday, according to EW.com.

The second half of the series' third season -- which has already achieved record-breaking ratings when the first half premiered last summer -- is set to air this January. The 16-episode fourth season is slated to premiere sometime in summer 2010.

The USA original series stars Jeffrey Donovan as Michael Westen, a spy who finds himself out of a job and back in his hometown of Miami when he is inexplicably "burned" -- or blacklisted -- by the CIA. Aiding Westen in his quest to find out who betrayed him are ex-IRA operative and ex-girlfriend Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) and boozy friend and former military intelligence agent Sam (Bruce Campbell).
