by Donald Deane, posted Nov 30th 2009 11:40AM
On 'The Early Show,' 'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert defended his controversial performance on the '2009 American Music Awards,' citing similar risque material that appeared on the show courtesy of Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson and Eminem.

"There was a lot of very adult material on the AMAs this year, and I know I wasn't the only one," Lambert said, pointing out that Lady Gaga broke a bottle during a performance, Janet Jackson grabbed a male dancer's crotch, and Eminem referenced rape.
