Remember that Heroes death? It happens tonight!

HeroesWarning! Spoiler ahead!

We were told several weeks ago that a major character was going to be killed off of Heroes soon. Of course, Heroes has a way of killing off characters and then they come back in one way or another: didn't really die, saved by time travel, had a twin, another person takes over their body, etc, etc. But this major character's death is going to be permanent, and it happens in tonight's episode, "The Fifth Stage."

The person who dies is Nathan Petrelli. I think this is a somewhat lame revelation as Nathan died last year. But I guess it's big news because Adrian Pasdar is still with the show, as Nathan's soul is battling with Sylar's so Pasdar has been able to be in a lot of episodes even though he died a while ago.

I for one am glad that Heroes is actually taking a major character and having him really die for good. I'd like Pasdar to stick around, but if someone has to go it makes sense to kill off the guy who, well, already killed off.

I watched the first season in awe and have the second season on DVD, still wrapped in foil.

Guess one can consider "Heroes" a one season wonder.

Fast forward a few months and they'll all be killed off when this turkey is cancelled. I'm amazed anyone is still watching.

Agreed - Nathan may have "died" by giving into Sylar, but the body survived and, thus, theoretically, Nathan's memories are still in his body.

I still think they'll use the refrigerated corpse of Nathan as a vessel to place his memories/soul back into. Mama Petrelli must be paying a lot each month in rent to keep it cold, so it's either resurrection or Nathan turkey for Christmas dinner.

I didn't, because I stay away from spoilers. But seriously, you don't believe he's dead do you? This is a TV show, and Pasdar needs the money.

Hilarious... Heroes killed him by dropping him and bringing him back to life instantly, so that they could leave that freaking window open. This show is officially written by drug addicts.

The Irish Chick wasn't from the future. She was from Ireland... So, Peter gets his memory erased by the Hatian and is put into the storage container bound for Europe. He eventually regains his powers and transports himself and the Irish chick to the future. He then leaves her in that future which ceases to exist. It's entirely possible that his actions resulted in her annihilation, or she's going to suddenly appear in the current timeline here in a few months... The point was, she, just like many others, have been thrown away while we've been clinging to people unworthy of the effort.

He's a good start... Mohinder would be a nice follow-up, combined with Parkman. Give Peter a hint of his old power back, like he can have multiple powers, but they all eventually fade (which means if left alone, he could eventually be powerless). Have Claire accept she's going to be alone, or have her actually grow up and stop worrying about fitting in... either way, her body heals to when she was 17, her brain shouldn't stay that age forever.

I do like a lot of what they've done this season, but they need to do more, go beyond what they have now. They never should've deviated from the series concept to begin with... these people just aren't that interesting over the years... maybe a few of them, but that's it. HRG, Sylar, and Mama Petrelli are easily the best and most engaging characters on the show. Beyond that? They've mostly killed off the best people or left them out. Papa Petrelli, Adam Monroe, Micah, African Seer guy, the list goes on and on...

I'll leave on my standard and, as yet, unanswered question regarding Heroes: Where is Molly? She was living with Mohinder and Parkman, but when Baby Matt Parkman showed up last season and Mohinder turned into the fly, what happened to the kid they cared for? Or did she get transported to where Charlie and that Irish Chick from season 2 are?

Agreed. So many of the characters were never interesting in the first place. They were just good cogs in a story. Then to top it off, some of the more annoying characters just don't change, like Claire.

I think the 'accepted' answers are that Molly was with Mohinder's family. Also, I think that when Peter changed what happened in that storyline that future never existed so the Irish Chick never existed and/or never ended up in the future.
