'Amazing Race' Season 16 Casting Spoilers

If you're at an airport and find yourself standing behind a pair of Americans who are dressed alike and begging the ticket counter to let them on your flight -- you might be a witness to 'The Amazing Race.'

While the rest of the country fell into a Thanksgiving coma, the 'Amazing Race's' 16th season was getting underway -- though not without some of the contestants being outed by a few quick-thinking 'Race' fans

While the rest of the country fell into a Thanksgiving coma, the 'Amazing Race's' 16th season was getting underway -- though not without some of the contestants being outed by a few quick-thinking 'Race' fans. EW.com's Popwatch published this image snapped at an airport that is believed to feature 'Big Brother 11' winner Jordan Lloyd and her castmate/boyfriend Jeff Schroeder.

They are not the only contestants to be identified in this season. There is speculation that former Miss Teen USA hopeful Caitlin Upton will be appearing on 'Amazing Race 16.' Not sure who she is?

Oh yes, Caitlin Upton is that Miss South Carolina Teen USA. After offering this answer during the Miss USA pageant, it seems the producers of 'The Amazing Race' have graciously given Upton the opportunity to use maps and hopefully find Iraq or South Africa.

This is not the first time that producers have cast former reality show stars or beauty queens as 'Race' contestants. Previous racers have included:
• Ericka Dunlap, Miss America 2004 (season 15)
• Brittney Jayne Rogers, Miss Lousiana 2003 (season 8)
• Rob Mariano & Amber Brkich, 'Survivor' alumni and couple (season 7 and 11)
• Alison Irwin, 'Big Brother 4' and 'Big Brother All-Stars' (season 5)
• Nicole O'Brian, Miss Texas Teen USA 2005 (season 5)
• Christie Lee Woods, Miss Texas Teen USA 1996 and Miss Teen USA 1996 (season 5)
• Erika Shay, Miss Pennsylvania Teen 1995 (season 5)
• Kandice Pelletier, pageant contestant who also appeared as a "Beauty Queen Coach" on MTV's 'Made' (season 10 and 11)

In profiling the rest of the season 16 cast, Reality Blurred reports,"besides Jordan and Jeff, the teams include two male cowboys, who are shorter and in their 20s; a team of "big guys," named Mike and Louie; an older woman and a 20-something brunette woman that may be a grandmother and grandaughter; a tall man and a shorter blonde woman; and a middle-aged couple. There are also reports of a teams two black women, a married black couple, two frat guys who may be twins, two Asian people, a father/daughter team, and a team with two women who may be lesbians (or who are being stereotyped as such)."

It is speculated that the "tall man and shorter blonde woman" might be Upton's team. Vevmo posted the supposed photographic evidence here. According to the same source, casting director Lynn Spillman is only interested in casting reality show romantic couples because the 'Amazing Race' is mostly about relationships.

Let's just hope that Upton's relationship with maps improve and help her find the way home!
