Bob's Burgers heading to Fox

Bob's BurgersFrom the creator of Home Movies comes a new animated show on Fox. Bob's Burgers will be about a guy (Bob) who runs a burger grill at an East Coast seaside town with his "tightly wound wife and three unhelpful kids".

Fox is obviously returning to form with another animated family comedy, as if their entire Sunday night line-up weren't enough. I yearn for animated shows that dare to be a little different like South Park, Futurama and The Venture Bros.

However, the show involves hamburgers and as a hamburger fan I may give it a shot. It is a bit of a concern that Fox is overdoing it with the animated shows. Perhaps Cartoon Network and Fox should just switch names and be done with it.

Also, based on the photo doesn't the main character look a little like Luigi from the Mario Brothers? Will he have a thick Italian accent as well?

Half the cartoons on Boomrang were originally shown as primetime shows during the late 50's and early 60's. The Flintstones at the time was the only cartoon to last longer than a season on the same network (ABC).

I'm guessing they're shopping around for a replacement for the colossal failure that is The Cleveland Show.

Oh, and why more cartoons? Because they're super cheap to make, relatively speaking, right?

It's worth noting that this is Home Movies/Lucy the Daughter of the Devil's Loren Bouchard, not Home Movies/Metalocalypse Brandon Small.

Not that that will take anything away, I loved HM and LDoD

Thank you! I was actually going to watch purely because it was from the creator of Home Movies - as in Brendon Small, Home Movies. Whew.

Why take a chance on what seems to be a odd idea for a show than a very loyal fan base that Futurama has. I am a big fan of Seth MacFarlane and all of his shows, but why does Fox have more faith in him than in Matt Groening. Now I understand that Comedy Central now own the rights and new episodes are coming (when?) but does anyone here actually think that Bob's Burgers will have a shot or is it just being used to fill the void of King of the Hill.
