Entourage, the movie?

EntourageMark Wahlberg has stated in an interview that he believes that Entourage, the HBO show in which he serves as executive producer, has two more years left in its television life before making the jump to the theatrical screen. The show has just been renewed for a sixth season.

It's not a bad idea, although the concept of a Hollywood insider movie has been done in Hollywood movies before, most notably with Robert Altman's The Player. However, it's been 17 years since that movie was released, so its ripe for recycling (It's surprising it hasn't been redone yet).

HBO has seen tremendous success with one of its franchises moving to the big screen, Sex and the City (which has a sequel on the way). On the other hand, The Sopranos hasn't made it to the big screen yet for some reason. Perhaps David Chase didn't want to ruin a perfect ending to the series.

Well, let's see.. we had a show a week, which btw were all great.. So now we have 1 movie to look forward to? How is this a good thing, again?

Keep the show running, it's good everyone has a job on the show and who needs another 'Seinfeld' mistake?

Focus on the series..It's my favorite show but I'd rather see the season series improve instead of a movie....I recorded all six seasons and watch it everyday...Good show

How about trying to make the series good again. Not only did last season suck but the guys are looking so old now that they need to retool just about everything they do. Sad to see it like this. It was a good so 2 years ago.

If made into a movie it would possilby the worst movie ever made as the show was absurd and of no interest why this would even be considered is a showing of no ideas in Hollywood at all

Deadwood was another great too short lived series, I'd like to see Big Love, don't those perfect lookin ladies ever use the pool? Chloe has the most perfect body in a bikini :)

first 2 seasons were good ... now the show sucks.
1 trick pony.

now they will made a BAD movie.

how about a movie that people would like to see like THE SOPRANOS or THE WIRE???
